Краткая биография Nocturnal Rites

Первой попыткой Фредрика Маннберга (гитара, вокал) создать свою собственную команду, была основанная им в 1990 году Necronomic. Однако после долгой борьбы с текучестью кадров и нежеланием коллег трудиться как следует Фредрик распустил эту банду, а вместо нее сформировал другую под названием Nocturnal Rites. Вместе с ним в компании оказались Томми Эрикссон, барабанивший еще в Necronomic, и бас-гитарист Нильс Эрикссон. В 1991 году коллектив записал демо "The Obscure", обратившее на себя внимание некоторых инди-лейблов. Но музыканты не спешили с контрактом и продолжали работать сами по себе. Вскоре был записан новый материал, который ознаменовал переход Nocturnal Rites от чисто дэтового к более мелодичному звучанию.
